I have my earlobes pierced and one stud at the top of my left ear. I'd love to pierce my nose but I have an issue with nosebleeds so it's been recommended that I don't :(. I'd also love to have a tattoo of cat eyes on the back of my neck but I know there's every chance I'll change my mind in 6 months so I don't think I'll ever do it. I'm not terribly exciting lol.

I had my earlobes pierced at a very young age. Got my navel done at 14, tongue piercing (been closed a couple of years now) two weeks later. Had my septum at 15, also been closed for about two years. Did a rook piercing when I was 16 and it's still looking as fine as ever.

I got my first tattoo when I was 16. It's located on my left inner wrist and says "Jesus" in white ink. It holds a lot of meaning for me.

I have 5 other tattoos on my body, all done within a span of 1 and a half years which I have grown to regret them. I only blame it on my impulse and teen angst.

Actually employers, even in "creative" fields, frown upon visible piercings and tattoos. That's the beauty of piercings, they are not permanent. I get stuff pierced and take it out all the time.

I've noticed they leave an ugly scar, and on some people, the eyebrow hair gets thinner where the piercing is. But that depends on placement. You should look into the anti-brow dermal anchor piercing--I personally think it's cuter. I had one but the girl who did it, did it too shallow and it started to migrate.
I will be getting it back soon though!

I have three tattoos (a Garuda (emblem of thailand) on my left shoulder, "Little Monsters" in script on my right wrist (pretty self-explanatory) and music score/notes and stars on my left hip (I really regret that one ahah!) and just a little 10mm stretch in my left ear lobe :) I used to have a ton of piercings, but then I took them out :/

I love tattoos and piercings, however I do thing they should be used/done wisely. Not all piercings work with all people. I feel some people have the "right" lips for a lip piercing, and the ones that don't just should get one. I feel certain piercings look good on certain people but don't work with others. I probably see more "unworking" piercings on people than i see working. As far as tattoos my opinion is with the obvious, don't get a stupid tattoo. Don't get something your just into for the time being, get something that is universal that you can be happy with for the rest of your life so you don't regret it. Also, don't go to a shitty artist. ALWAYS look through an artists portfolio to see whether their work is good or not before you let them touch you. And if they don't even have a portfolio, well thats just an obvious red flag. I personally would rather make an appointment with a great artist that might have a 3 month to a year wait, rather than go to a shitty artist that can do my tattoo withing that week. Patience for beauty I say. I have a large hummingbird and hibiscus flower covering my left hip and I waited 3 months for the appointment, and needless to say I love my tattoo and would definitely go back to the artist. My friend got a tattoo from another guy at the shop I went to, actually the owner of the shop, and he's so good that his wait for an appointment is over a year. So basically, time is quality. That's my only tattoo right now but I plan on getting more when I think of more ideas. For piercings I have two regular ones in each ear that all used to be gauged but i let them close back to normal, I have my conch done in my right ear that I did myself, I have two top cartilage piercings in my left ear that I also did myself, and I have my bellybutton pierced. I wanted my lip done about 4 years back but my mom said I could get anything on my face done until I was 18. I'm pretty much glad she made me wait because by the time I was 18 I definitely didnt want anything on my face, not even my nose done. So I basically would have regretted it and took it out anyway lol.

I also want two piercings, a ring through the right side of my lower lip and one through my left nostril. I have 8 ear lobe piercings (including an 8mm tunnel), a scaffold, two nose piercings and two lip piercings.

In the past I've had my ear lobes, nose and lip pierced before, two surface piercings on my stomach, a surface piercing on each collarbone and one on the nape of my neck.

That's 23 in total. I want to get my conch done next, or maybe my septum. I'm a teacher so I need discrete piercings now.

If you already know who you want to get tattooed by, you might as well go to the studio, with your ideas (whether it's all in your head or some pictures) and the artist will be able to draw it up for you. Tattoo artist will draw stuff that fits your body better, so they're always a good choice :)

I got a tattoo of "The Temptation of St. Anthony", an etching by Schongauer. It took over seven hours to finish it, before I did it I never thought I would be able to handle it. Now it reminds me that I'm stronger than I give myself credit for.

I have 8 piercings in my ear (my Tragus isn't shown in the pic below) & two tattoos... one is the infinity sign behind my ear that my best friend and I got together and the other are my cat's paw prints. I grew up with him and had always wanted them done, but chickened out. When he passed away at 14 this past November, I knew it was perfect timing.
