This is a good one for me. I used to think i was really photogenic! But ive recently had a baby, 6weeks ago and on my first night out i thought i looked nice (as you do when its been so long since you made yourself dressed up for a night out) but in the photographs i looked disgusting and couldnt believe went out looking like that! i dont know whether its my view of myself, the camera or whether thats what everyone else sees!!

if someone else takes the picture and its flash then noonoono
but if i take it my self and take the time set up everything then id like to think so
i think i look good when going out but when someone takes a picture i look disgusting

its a complicated subject! lol you dont have to like the picture other ppl have to so you might be photogenic and you just dont know but the mirror really helps, thats what models do they practice and they know their angles... other than that there are actually "naturals" that are lucky fuckers hahaha but for me i have trouble with it because i dont think i am, although i could be since sometimes i make it :s

I wouldn't say I'm photogenic. I don't look completely awful in pictures but I personally think I look better in real life. I think it is because my features aren't super incredible but most of my physical beauty comes from my ability to express with my eyes, and that can't be captured on camera as easily.

For me, it depends... people tell me I am, but that's only because almost all the photos of me are taken with a specific kind of lighting, being natural, backlit lighting. I never post photos of myself in flash because I look icky with flash on hahaha, but I definitely envy the people who photograph well with flash!! I think that at least after taking so many photos of my outfits that I've been able to learn through trial and error which angles/sides and what types of lighting work and don't work with me. I like backlit lighting, but flash is a whole nother story hahaha

no. lol. rarely. it's okay when i take pictures of myself. after numerous takes i'm bound to get at least one decent one.
my face has the natural ability to screw up just as soon someone else snaps a picture.
they always manage to catch me derping!

I just try and do the best with what I've got. I'll never look like a supermodel but if there are going to be camera's around then I put on a bit of make-up to cover up zits and a bit of mascara do I don't look asleep and, I don't know... smile? I think that everyone can look horrendous if they're caught from the wrong angle but I guess if I look happy and my eyes aren't half shut then it's going to be an okay photo.

i'm going to try to explain my opinion to the best of my half-assed ability:
i think the reason why we tend to look better irl is that with both eyes, we tend to see around our faces (thus gaining a fuller conception of our faces), yet a camera lens captures us with one single "eye", as well as capturing only one usually imperfect frame. ergo, i always feel less self-conscious being video taped than when photographed.
i'm so sleepy right now.

I think i actually look better in photo's that other people take of me on nights out, coz I can just smile and I think because it's further away.
But I'm a bit crap at taking photo's of myself, unless it's from a certain angel. i think it's because it feels a bit fake.

Nope. Only a few photos taken of me I think are alright, and even then I'm not 100% happy. Plus I can't smile showing my teeth in a photo 95% of the time, so I'm always rocking an awkward smile. Gahhh it sucks.

I have some were I look decent but for the most part... I look silly in pictures!! But maybe that's because those are my favorite kind of pictures to take! I love being happy on the outside even if it looks bad, as happy as I am on the inside. But I know what you mean, I think most people are more attractive in real life rather than in pictures.
Maybe because in real life you get to see their true beauty and their personalities is what can make them ugly or pretty :)

I'm not photogenic at all! But, my left cheek bone is more defined than my right one so pictures from my left side are better. But I hate candid pictures or any other types of picture I take because I always feel like I look ugly.

yea i think it's weird how someone can complain about a picture of themselves and you think it looks perfectly fine. But i always think i look different (in a worse way) in photos than in real life. It's so strange... and frustrating! i have to take like gabajillions of photos to get a couple good ones.. maybe;)

Not at all. I don't get it, cause i have a really small nose. Still, on pictures it looks GIGANTIC and makes my face look skewed.

Completely Un-Photogenic.. I always have the WORSE PHOTO'S.. to get a decent pic I have to take a thousand and and only get 1!
Especially school ID photo's the librarian looks at my pic on the server, sighs, turns to me and says.
" Well, youre much more beautiful in real life."

I hope that I'm not photogenic, to tell the truth! That would mean that I look better in real life than I do in photos, which would be nice, considering my pictures are usually capable of scaring children.

I used to think that I am not photogenic, but my friend and my cousin (who is my only "photographer" for lookbook) always say that I am, but look at me - i look weird, I am weird and not so beautiful for photos because in real I am not attractive too. I take photos only because I want to show you my outfits but I hate myself on every photo.
Its so sad that on lookbook ppl before hype check how do you look in general, not outfit. I should cut off my head to have more hypes.
