it's starting to be fashionable around my parts to actually let your armpit hair grow out
i've been considering doing it myself, but i'm not sure about it really
what do you think?

I know a lot of people that would be freaked out, but personally I wouldn't mind.
If you want to, go for it.

I honestly would do it if people around me weren't so irked by the thought of women being capable of growing armpit hair, oh caving into peer pressure.
Shaving is annoying.

So yeah, I'd say try it out if you want to.

I shave mine, and feel as though when I just let it grow I feel unsanitary. I dunno, I've always done it, so it would be hard for me to get used to.
But if you feel as though its something you believe is okay and you like it, then do it. Regardless of what people around you are doing.

Well hairy men are still able to wear deodorant just fine. The idea of hair being "smelly" actually isn't all that true, underarm hair pulls moisture and secretions off the skin (though this is most effective obviously when you're not wearing sleeves) so that the smelly stuff, bacteria, don't hang around on there. When you're shaved, you probably need the deodorant more because your pits become bacteria orgies.

You gotta wash your pits anyway, hair or no hair.

with girls, i think it's okay if that's what you believe in or if you don't wear tank tops alot and don't pick up your arms.
i know some cultures or religons think that shaving legs, armpits, arms, ect. is wrong, god created our bodies and stuff..
on guys it's normal to have hairy legs, arms and armpits, ect. but it seems like more and more guys will shave now days.
ultimatley it's your choice, don't do it to just fit in, tho. if you wish to grow it out do it for yourself

Wow! Peculiar fad! I live in a very liberal minded place that's got its fair share of feminists and 'granola' types, so a lot of my girl friends don't shave their armpits as acts of feminism and whatnot. As a guy, I hate my armpit hair. They're straight...which is so weird, I think! I love wearing tank tops in the summertime, but I find it super awkward...

But that's just what I think.

I don't care for armpit hair on women OR men. For myself (a guy), I've been shaving there for years (as well as keeping other regions very well groomed and trimmed). Don't even think twice about it -- it's just a regular part of a daily shower routine and it takes only seconds.

Maybe it's just me, but apart from aesthetics I find that it smells less and seems to get less sweaty when shaven...

Got to admit, I don't often bother in the winter. It's not that I like it unshaved, it's just that it's not going to be on show, so what's the point? It just wastes razors.

In summer though, or if I'm wearing a sleeveless top, they're always shaved. I just don't think it looks nice.

I haven't shaved mine in ages, at least three years, and I've had no complaints from lovers. I stopped shaving mostly because it's itchy as fuck, but I also think armpit hair is attractive on all genders, and it is society's foolish notions of what makes a woman beautiful that leads people to believe that body hair = unfeminine.

Personally, I would never grow it out. I feel that I look better without it, regardless of what others think, and it's also more hygienic, in my case anyway, as I do high-intensity exercise every day. Plus, it's not really that much of a hassle to get rid of it really, so I think it's worth it. (:
