Hey!
I made this thread so musicians on Lookbook can show us their music.
myspace.com/ishavband
That's my musical project, I record everything on my attic. :)
I started to play the drums by the age of 11, and by time I started to play other instruments like guitar and bass. After a while I wanted I wanted to compose and record instrumental songs so I bought a Behringer mixer and a M-audio soundcard to record some of my first work, which sounded really really lo-fi (well, the new stuff sounds lo-fi too but not as much as the first ones)

What software do you use? :)
@JaniC
I thought that it sounded good, though sometimes the vocals were a little off, but I find that to sound good sometimes. :)

Hmm, I'm not that much of a singer but I do know some basic stuff. :)
Warm up your voice and body, breathing exercises, stretch your body. Practice the scales, play the c-major scale and then you transpose it a half step everytime and try to hit the notes and expand your register.
Sing triads (I think it's called), do the major and minor triads, try to hit the notes. Sing octaves like, low C to high C back to low C.
Don't sing if it hurts. :)
Use your diaphragm.
Look at a spot somewhere, in eye-height, and try to sing into that spot, your voice is going through that spot, that will give you a very clear tone.

I wish you luck! And record yourself is also good! Could be a recording with your cellphone, doesn't have to be anything exclusive.
There are lots of good stuff on youtube. :)

I'm the drummer, and this was recorded during our very first practice together. Our bassist has this vintage-type cassette recorder which we used to record this, along with a pretty nice microphone to take in all the sound.

here's a cover I recently uploaded.
it's me singing a song called "Darling" by GIRLS.
i learned the song completely by ear, including the solo, some parts which are slightly improvised.
I urge you to listen to the solo part, I like it:)

I liked the way you played, and the way you sang but sometimes your singing didn't really seem right, like you were out of tune, but I liked it! :)

thank you for your honest feedback!
I'm still practicing my singing skills.
I liked this, you definitely have something going on here!
I just think the bass could use a little more movement, you know, playing a melody with a rhythm that will make you want to move.

Thank you! I think I know what you mean. My bass playing isn't the best, I really want to develop my bass riffs. :)
