In the United States, the people from the South- and what people mean when they say is like Appalachia where the 'red necks' are- are the ones who people sort of like to pretend aren't really part of their country...

So what is it in your country?

I am from Latvia and not really a stereotype but a mistake is that Latvia is the same as Russia or that Latvia is connected to Russia in any way. It`s not. Latvia is Latvia and Russia is Russia. We have a lot of Russians living here but we are NOT Russia.

I am from the Philippines. We have been stereotyped for so many things. They say Filipinos are always late. So whenever we go out..we'd say...lets meet at 1pm...American Time please. Not Filipino time. Funny things is..I know this doesnt apply to Filipinos at all. People from all over the country has one time or another came in late for an appointment. And they are not Filipinos.

That all of us Americans sit at McDonalds eating hamburgers all day, getting fat. And that we all talk in really overdone Southern accents.

I'm from New Zealand, most people think we all own sheep and only ever wear shorts and gumboots - so not true!

I'm from England. Most people think we all have bad teeth and say "guvner" all the time and speak in cockney rhyming slang.

They used to think that we are stupid, we walked naked everywhere, and we don't know how to use a microwave. No kidding.
