or just dubstep remix's...
Some of my friends think it just sounds like "farting and burping",
but actually, it's quite decent and really addictive.

What's your opinion on dubstep?

Dubstep doesn't necessarily has too be something that you have to listen too with friends or listen at parties...

hey, in glasgow dubstep is quite big, working in the radio, taking part in organizing parties i can say a bit about it. i personally hate shake your booty dubstep interpretation, where people think that it's cool to choose whatever they mix and add some bass, it's gonna be good. sadly that's often the case. some djs just have the attitude 'i'm so uk garage, i shit with wony basses' and all you hear is whoop, whoop. somehow i can't appreciate katy b stuff, seems so concentrated on selling and it's way too much pop in it.
but james blake, burial, four tet, apparat, benga, emalkay make me want to scream. this stuff is so good - electifies whole your body. and recently i discovered some new underground prodigy - marisa vanella - i would never believe that someone, who looks like her could do such a perfect blend of downtempo and dubstep even though i'm very open to surprises. want some good dubstep? there are people in glasgow, who have an awesome selection of dubstep - www.subcity.org find a section listen and just type in 'dubstep' in search. you'll get all the shows that play dubstep and we have quite a bit of them, my favourite is 'diggin' the 12 inch'. by the way, i also invite to listen to my show, about trip-hop - guns of bristol - next episode - 31.03.11 - 02GMT although, you can relisten to every show. i love conversations about music so i encourage anyone to write to me about it. have nice tunes in your ears:*

Dubstep is not what it was anymore when the genre was still good in the early-mid 2000s
Try Joy Orbison, Distance, DMZ, Burial, Ramadanman, Mount Kimbie, pre-2009 Rusko, Plastician, Shackleton

Also, Dubstep =/= Dub

I hate just listening to dubstep BUT I saw Rusko last night and it rocked my face off. Dubstep is pretty intense live. I recommend it.

people saying it's indie now... what

i guess i'm just saying that because in 2008 i would listen to it and everyone (literally everyone) would say "huh what's that you're weird that's weird music"

Silkie - Planet X

I dig Burial. I never really classified him as dubstep, really. When I think of dubstep I think of the oldheads like Rusko and shit. People call anything dubstep that has a bunch of drops and a fat sine bass.

this.

haha j/k I think it's okay. I mostly just like it at parties, and I would choose it over house music to be honest. Plus, "scary monsters and nice spirits" made me eargasm.
