this site has inspired me so much. everyone is so gorgeous and unique in his/her own way that to say 'beautiful' in one language is just not enough anymore...

I'm American so that's no fun.
But the girls here where I live call each other "darling" and "lovely" for pretty and beautiful.
Guys are attractive.

Portuguese
Beautiful - Bonita, linda (fem)
Bonito, lindo (mas)
there are also slangs, like "gostosa" for "hot" (fem) but it's kind of a word boys use to call girls who they think are really hot in a sexual way (that she has a good body and curves)
:)

in finnish:
beautiful = kaunis ("cow-n-is"),
pretty = nätti (like "cat" but "nat-ty" with the ending y like in tiny),
cute = söpö (ö is pronounced like the vowel in "girl", "the" or "sir", i can't explain better hahah :D),
wonderful = ihana ("i-hun-uh" with a short i like in "is"),
handsome = komea ("com-eh-uh"),
words like awesome, glorious, fabulous = upea (start like you would say "oops": "oop-eh-uh"), mahtava ("muh-tuh-vuh"), loistava (begin like "noise" but with an l: "loise-tuh-vuh", this means literally shining)
fantastic = fantastinen ("fanta-styn-en", the en like in "then")
perfect = täydellinen (begin like "sTAnd": "ta-eew-delly-nen")
unbelieveable = uskomaton ("oos-com-uh-ton", say the end like you were begining the word "thong")
and, if you want to combine one with very or really, use the word "todella" or "tosi" for a short ("tod-ella", "tho-see" with tho again like in "thong"): for example, very beautiful would be "tosi kaunis"
i guess these are pretty much the words usually seen. :p there are plenty of other words, of course, but you see them mostly in written text. hahah i had fun with trying to explain the pronouncing!
