I don't know. I really check the clothes, but maybe it's not about how thin you are, it's bout how you model it. and there are people on the page who are pro models so they know how to make plain clothes look astonishing while others who aren't models and don't have the knowledge of representing what they wear get much less hypes even though they wear wonderful clothes and have obviously put a lot of effort in it all. not to mention those who can afford pro studios or actually own it so they can make pro lookin photos and again get thousands of hypes just cause they look like they're flying and have the perfect lightning or something. not fair at all! that you're a skinny model doesn't mean you're creative and stylish. just do your best, someone will notice it, listen to me, I'm a true optimist :))) and don't get me wrong, some of those pre-mentioned people do have wonderful looks, but imo most of them don't and it annoys me. sorry

I think it does a bit. Because we associate, even if we don't want to, beeing thin with beeing elegant and with models.
I think that attitude and the clothes should be the ones getting the attention but oh well...it is what it is.

I think it does, but at the same time I think its important to know exactly how to dress for your specific body type in a way where every outfit you put on will look great. you just need to know what works best and what isnt the most flattering.

I agree about the hot page being boring! I don't really bother looking at it anymore, I just go straight to the new page. Also, I figure people on the hot page don't need any more hypes anyway xD

I agree. I want to see looks from people with average body types, but when the Karma filter is on I almost always see only skinny girls :(

the non-thin population isn't that much but being thin has got nothing to do with hypes..whoever says or thinks otherwise just check these girls out-lookbook.nu/od_r
lookbook.nu/user/71277-Xtina-T
they don't post as frequently as the people on the hot page but they have a lot of fans.

Its sadly and pathetically true! skinny people can throw on a bin bag and people would be like 'wow how daring'...how abstract....great body! etc
a curvier person puts on the same thing, and its all...'err they have let themselves go!' what on earth is he/she doing?? wow that makes them look even bigger!
its just sad what sort of world we actually live in...

i agree with you, but not all :3 i mean this site IS for everything, not just for the clothing 'style' but for art as well. so lighting, etc does play a big role on votes (hypes). On the other hand, its just sad when the 'most hyped' people get lots of hypes on a post just 'cause they're one of tops. Meh~ (;

Of course not, I mean in some aspects it could. But there are a lot of healthy and popular people on lookbook.

yup. it's so annoying, but at the same time its understandable. when people see models, and admire them then obviously if they see someone on this who looks like a model - long, skinny legs, virtually not a pick on them - there gonna automatically admire them too

It depends purley on the cut of your outfit, obviously what someone whos a size 32 wears will not suit a size 4, same goes the other way round,
I would love to wear pin up style dresses, but im to thin for them x

At least I think it should be that way...

i think it depends on the style and - most of all - if it's the right size and 'suitable' for your body shape. some clothes look better if you're pretty thin and some look better if your bigger, and i think this is what it's all about(:

unfortunately thats sometimes the case. but id rather see a girl with some thighs or hips in shorts and crop top that shows some tummy instead of a skinnyt biotch;p just saying;p

Unfortunatelly good outfits aren't as much apreciated as professional photos and skinny legs. Of course, slim figures and good quality photos are a plus, but still...

Nope, I don't think so.
I'm rather thin and I don't think that has to do with my hypes. I hope people are hyping me for style, not size.

Not really. I think it just seems that there are more thin people than otherwise on this site for some reason or another.
I hype people regardless of their size if I like their look, since that's what the website is about.

Reading through this thread is actually kind of depressing. Some of the replies are so typical of the type of person who will say "ACCEPT ALL BODY TYPES!!" and then turn around and badmouth somebody for being skinny and assume anyone who is skinny must be anorexic or have some eating disorder.
I'm so fed up of this attitude that is driven by the media of "let's accept everybody but only curvy women are real women"
