Which mangas would you recommend if you want to feel a bit better after a sudden break-up?

I don't know how good it would be after a sudden break up, but I always feel cheerful after a flick through Sailor Moon :D

Fullmetal Alchemist :) It will involve you in the storyline so much, that you won't be able to think of anything else :)

Depends on what genre you like and if you like sad or happy stories.

Fruits Basket is a good happy-ish one. I own all of them, and have read through it at least seven times. Ha.
If you want something a little more dark, I recommend Monster. It's about a surgeon who saves the life of a boy, then 10 years or so later the boy turns into a murderer and the surgeon has to kill him. It's my all time favorite manga series.

Skip Beat!
it's about a girl who gets over a harsh break-up by taking control of her life and joining show business in efforts to get (non violent) revenge on the man who scorned her. it's really funny and cute.

Oh man, the days when I used to read manga...
I really liked Aria. It's a small series (or at least was when I stopped buying), but the art was fantastic, it had so much detail, and it was really cheerful and interesting.
As for classics, I always loved Sailor Moon (it taught me to draw!) and Ranma 1/2, which is silly and generally amusing.

Skip Beat definitely awesome, gentlemens alliance(long), hana yori dango is kinda long too and the drawings at first are HORRIBLE but it gets MUCH better, Hana kimi. Why dont you try watching drama if you dont mind reading subtitles i recommend Hana Yori Dango(japanese version), Personal Taste(funny), cofee prince(amazing) or You're Beautiful

Yes yes yes FMA. Great art, 3D characters, serious, funny, and some pretty deep themes and head-scratching ideas to chew upon, all in one.
