Ever had it when you listen to a song, it reminds you of a specific time in your past and a wave of nostalgia washes over you?
I get it quite alot, especially when I listen to Foals, Mgmt, the teenagers and The Kooks, whenever I hear these bands now it flashes me back to around 2 years ago, and I rememember vividly certain days...
weird, but I kind of love how a single song can bring back so many memories from around the same time you used to listen to it alot...

Anything from the 90s. I was born in 94, so I remember listening to middle and late 90's songs on the radio as a preschooler. Lalalove it! Also, 50's and 60's music. My parents listened to the oldies station when I was a kid, and I can't get enough of it.

Every song reminds me of another time in my life unless I haven't heard it.
The one that is really fresh in my mind is "walking on sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.
It reminds me of being in high school and being happy. I remember driving around with one of best friends at the time and screaming "HEY!" at random people on the street just like the song does. Good times

Pink Floyd - The Wall reminds me of my childhood as my dad would constantly be playing Mother and Comfortably Numb on his guitar. Time Of Your Life by Green Day reminds me of moving house when I was 12 since it was the first song on a mix tape my best friend made for me as a leaving present. Declaration of War by Hadouken reminds me of my first boyfriend. Starlight by Muse reminds me of when I first got together with my current boyfriend.
Of course there are hundreds in between that also make me feel nostalgic, however those are the most poignant.

TRUE by Spandau Ballet. That sound played pretty frequently on the radio while I listened in my dad's car. It's a pretty amazing song too.

It Wasn't Me, by Shaggy.
It just brings back funny memories. It was on Now 6, and not long after I bought it, I was at my family reunion. My cousin and I would sit in the closet and listen to it over and over and laugh because we thought his voice was hilarious. We couldn't understand a word he was saying.
Which I suppose is good, because I heard it years and years later on the radio and realized how dirty it had a been for our young ears. Hahaha.

oh god, i was just thinking about this earlier.
Burnout by Sugarfree, a local band. It was the first song I learned to play on the bass guitar in its entirety. I was 13, 2nd year high school. My friends and I just started a band and this was the first piece we played together. We were together in that band until we graduated from high school and that song reminds me of those days where we would just sit at our drummer's studio with our friends, sprawled out on the floor, eating junk food and just being teenagers.
Rossini's William Tell Overture. My dad had a cassette tape filled with classical music and would always play it full blast while driving. Our family often went to the countryside and that would be our default background music. He seemed to drive faster when this particular song was on.
Also, most top 40 songs from 1999. I was 8 and had a walkman with a radio, I was young and carefree.

Every song I know reminds me of a certain time in my life so they're all nostalgic.
Lately I've been listening to Meat Loaf and it reminds me so much of being young and my mom having parties where people would get really drunk and sing meat loaf.

Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour by Enter Shikari painfully reminds me of my first crush. I was in love with that boy for more than three years without him noticing it. We were friends, or close to being so. Anyway... I get really, really sad when listening to that song. Though it makes me nostalgic.
