i have an ebay account too, i use it still, and am currently selling a few things that i've made and some things that were thrifted. but i'd love love to have my own actual site. i've contemplated it, but the monthly fees are just too much for my budget unfortunately.

bigcartel's great for online shops for free (you can have the option for paying monthly for the upgraded versions) but even with the free one you can decorate like have a banner/nice background etc plus no fees! I hate ebay the robbing bastards

I have an etsy shop as well--> ycaf.etsy.com
i also use artfire, which also has a basic member-free- membership option, where your allowed to post as many items as you'd like, theres also no commision fee.
I have many other shops with ecrater, ustrendy, and senseofashion but etsy has been pretty successful and manageable for me at the moment,
Wishing everyone tons of luck :)

I have an online shop which ranges jewellery & greeting cards & finally starting to branch out into clothing as Im actually a textiles designer so have been wanting to create my own line for years - still in the process of making it though so wont be out for a couple more months but, if you have a passion for making things etc then do it!!!!
Just research into your market etc & you'll be up & running in no time.
Here's mine:

It is also my dream to have my own boutique so I can look my best at all times and get the privilege to wear whatever pleases me. But even if I don't have that, I still found great places to shop. For vintage clothes I go to bettiepageclothing.com/ and for fashion accessories nothing beats shopandmodel.com for me!

I've literally just started this one and for now I'm just keeping it on blogspot, if it gets big I'll move it to a better site, but this does me nicely for now.

I'm just gonna throw this out there. XD
I read a couple posts from you guys that said that you want to promote your sites and products more, and I'm always looking for new pieces to put in the looks and recommendations sections of my mag or to accompany some of the trend ones.
LB has given me so much so maybe I can help you out!
I can promote some of your products in my magazine for free. All I would need are photographs of the items on a white background, the prize and your url.
This would only apply for the ones that ship internationally since the magazine is for latinamerica and spain and your future clients would be from this area.
so if you're interested you can drop me a line: gerencia@nonmagazine.com
omg this sounds so much like spam, but I swear it's not D:
I know how hard it is to start your own business and one of my missions for my magazine is to help and support new faces in fashion.

shopseven.bigcartel.com
I've got an esty account, so simple and easy to use and it's free (you have to pay monthly to upgrade). I sell handmade turban headbands with starting prices of about £1/£2 with worldwide shipping and as for advertising, I've just started using LB to advertise but I also email popular bloggers and ask whether they would like to do a review for their blog in exchange for a headband of their choice.
If any blogger is interested in doing a review for Shop Seven, please email emiliamarie@live.com

I started my online boutique about a year ago. It started off on eBay and have now moved it into an actual online boutique of it's own.

Hi, you can make an online shop for free at multiply.com, unless you want to be a premium member then you have all the fees to pay, but u can totally just skip the fees and just register as a regular member [like me], check my site out and decide if multiply.com is for you :)

good luck on your shop!
