I had my first tattoo planned out since I was 13 or 14, and I got it a month after I turned 18. It incorporates album art and lyrics from one of my favorite songs of all time by my favorite band.
My second tattoo definitely was spur of the moment, my friend and I woke up one morning and decided "hey, let's get tats!" so I got swallows on my collarbones. I still love them even though I picked out the design in a few hours haha :)

I was 16 and given the option to get a tattoo, which I took and I got a small tattoo of mjolnir on my shoulder. I really like mythology but it wasn't planned.
the pair of tattoos I got the second time I got tattooed were planned though.

Mines was a gift from my mom for my 17th birthday, I got it a month early on halloween. It was thought about and preplanned before I got it, and it was during a very tumultuous time in my life. Its an arabic tattoo meaning "everything happens for a reason" or "maktub".

on my 18th bday i got my first tattoo of a small pawprint on my wrist. my boyfriend at the time intitals are p.a.w so i figured that'd be cooler than getting his actual name lol. needless to say, we aren't together anymore but i don't regret the tattoo at all for it's just a clever little reminder of happy times.

I got mine when I was 18, so a year ago. It says "I love you" in french, after it it's Lady Gaga's birthdate, and under it is " Only God can judge me". I never had a thing for tattoos, but Gaga's concert changed my life from negative to positive and for the the first time I started loving myself. I put it on the iner side of my upper arm so that I can look at it every time I feel down and reconstruct the feeling I felt on the concert :)

I got my first tattoo as a birthday present to myself. If I was completely honest, I would say I got the tattoo in order to rebel against my very conservative parents who said they would disown me if I ever got one.
But, I had been planning the thing for a while. I had the money.. and got it.

I got my first tattoo because I wanted it. It's a feather on my back. My second tattoo I got because I just wanted to be under the needle. I love the feeling of tattoos. I found a really nice quote that I wouldn't mind having on my body forever. My third tattoo is a skull behind my ear. A girl I know was doing $20 Halloween tattoos, 1x1. So, I took the opportunity to get another tattoo.

I got mine when I was 17, but technically it was for my 18th birthday. I had previously visited Okinawa Japan, and that land was, to this day, one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I got the Japanese symbol for "Love" on the back of my neck. Simple, all black ink. I love it so much. No regret.

well i got my first tattoo to remind me of my brothers birthday/ death anniversary and not to give up hope since for me the Lion symbolizes strength.... so its a "LEO ZODIAK SIGN with a LION HEAD"

I got mine in Thailand too :P But I was 14 lol..
and I got it because I really wanted a tattoo, and the first
thing that caught my eyes was a 3-nautical-stars tattoo,
so I had it done on the side of my leg :D friggin awesome indeed!

I got my first tattoo because I love INK. Idk weird but body art is so beautiful to me. Keeping in mind that I'm only getting older I have more ideas in mind! I have 5 tattoos already.
