Howdy NaNoWriMo's! Are you all prepped and ready for another year of feverish writing?
For those not in the know, NaNoWriMo stands for: National Novel Writing Month. It's a little holiday for writers, if you call forms of self-induced forms of psychosis a holiday. Essentially, the goal is this: write a novel in 30 days, by the end of November. A novel is defined as 50,000 words long. So, punch out 50,000 words by the end of the month, and you'll have a mostly completed novel on your hands. It's a nice way of sticking a big middle finger to the status quo of "take your time and write quality material over a long period of your life, aiming for perfection." Instead, NaNo rides with the aesthetic of "make it fast, fix it later." And it's surprisingly effective. :]
Who's participating this year? Throw a link to your NaNo account so we can all friend each other and track our progress(es). Also, if you want to take the time, tell what your novel this year is going to be about.

i am participating in this year's self-induced psychosis!
nano name is enwaisea. it's my first year and due to coursework, i haven't had the time to set up anything for it yet, which clearly indicates unobstructed and expected success.

I remembered this yesterday, and would love to be a part of it... if I can think of something to write about! I remember being miffed that I missed it last year - I noticed it was happening about halfway through the month xD

I'm so excited about Nanowrimo! I've been participating for a few years now and had my first win last year, then won again in Camp Nano this summer. My story this year is pretty unplanned, I've just done some character profiling and I'm going to take it from there.

I've been wanting to participate for a while now, but this is my first year, so I'm really excited and apprehensive at the same time.
Let's also not mention the fact that for the most part, my story is rather unorganized so far. Ugh.

Well what's up? We can have a LB NaNo seminar. :P I have a year of experience, and I call myself a professional novelist for a reason. What's getting you stuck?

I don't really like where my novel is going, but I'm too far in to change it in time. :-/ I'm going to just carry on though and then edit it after november:)
