Hey all,

I've had my Canon 1000D for two years now and the focus isn't what it used to be - there's also a few scratches on the lens.
I need to take it into a camera shop I know but wondered what sort of cost am I looking at for a clean?

Is it possible to restore the focus as it was or am I better off saving for a new camera?

Cheers,
H x

I think you should invest for a new lens. Try getting a 50mm prime lens. It's cheap and great! You don't have to change your camera, you just have to replace the lens. :)

i have the same camera. you have to buy a filter (but you have to be sure that it is the right one, because there are different ones for the different lenses). you put this onto your lens and then it is protected. and if the filter has got scratches or something you can buy a new filter, because these filters aren't really expensive like a new camera or a new lens :D
if you can't imagine how it looks there is a photo :D

i'm not a pro, but i think a filter is really helpful. go to a good shop with good advices!! i think it isn't good if people don't know anything about the products that they are selling. and it isn't really good if they are selling the biggest shit on earth to you, because they want to make profit.
