I think a black dress with patterned lace tights like those looks best always, and like Laurie said, with some boots. But other darker colors like maroon or a hunter green dress might look nice too. Just make sure to keep the dress simple!

I think it would be great with a coat! Like a trench.. Burberry or pretty in pink type coat with High ankle booties.
Or a little grundgey. Think a long blousey shirt.. high lace up shoes etc..

Gorgeous footless tights! For a night out, I agree with styling it with a wintry-colored dress in a beautiful texture.. velvet would be perfect, perhaps with long sleeves and a shorter hem. Carolyn's idea of maroon or hunter green or black is perfect! Navy might also work... some darker wintry color, paired with perhaps ankle boots or booties. Because black lace can look overly sexy if styled wrong I'd stick to ankle-high shoes and skip the thigh-highs. But you can also make it work for a day look by pairing it with a shirtdress or oversized oxford shirt, even a chambray denim shirtdress with a thick cable knit cardigan on top, and more casual (perhaps suede?) ankle booties or something like Docs.

I think a pair of leather shorts with a sheer, almost see through white blouse with a black bra underneath tucked into the shorts. Then maybe a denim or leather jacket and black boots. Accessorize with red lipstick and a really cool belt!
