To all you curly sue's out there......

Please advise on hair products for Curly hair!

I don't know about you but having natural curly all my life - I still have not managed to find the perfect product for curls.

I have thick hair and products I've used over the years have either made my hair look frizzy or products that make my hair go hard and give it that wet greasy look!

I am using Umberto Gianni at the moment which is good, but I know there are better products out there!

Do you use spray, gel, mousse?

Let me know your thoughts and if you are using the perfect product for curls.......Please share! : )

I use:

Moroccanoil - really good if you want your hair to be softer and more complete. No frizzyness.
Redken: Fresh Curls Curl Refiner - really good if you want, like, BIG curls. It DOESN'T make your hair go all stiff.

I personally think those two are really good, because I'm been battling with frizzyness all my life! (:

Most of the time I use naturallycurly.com/
You should use this site b/c it helps you figure out which "curl type" you out then singles out products and hair care methods specific for your hair type
As well as famous curly youtubers (kimmaytube, Nikkimae, etc)
I also started to create a blog on natural hair care :) so check it out

i have thick, frizzy curly hair and I've tried loads but i've started using a good quality leave in conditioner and argan oil and it has worked miracles. the good thing about argan/ Moroccan oil is that it doesn't actually make your hair greasy, it's a bit pricy but you only need to use a small amount so it lasts a while so I think its a good investment. I use Redken but there are loads out there. Hope this helps :)

i have natural curly hair, however i don't really use any specified curled hair products.. just aussi shampoo/ conditioner and silkin hairspray..
what i do do thought is use a diffuser on the end of my hairdryer, it keeps my curles tighter..

honestly just a really good conditioner & shampoo leaves my curls really soft and healthy. I've been using dove's deep moisture shampoo and conditioner set for a while and I love it. If you rinse out the conditioner with cold water it helps lock in the moisture.
I also keep my hair in some kind of a braid at night since that keeps the moisture in too. (I live in a really dry climate.)

lately I've been in love with argan oil;
this one product I've found, they sell it at walgreens, but that's the only place I've seen it,
it's called Argan Magic Nourishing Hair Creme, and I'm absolutely obsessed,
it smells really good, and it makes your curls defined without being crunchy
my only caution is that if you put too much, your hair gets all glue-y and greasy, but in moderation, it works fabulously XD
but even if you can't find it, I'm finding that most things with argan oil work nicely :]

Try Foxy Curls by BedHead. It's done wonders for my hair<3

You simply spray it into damp hair (and I choose to leave it to dry overnight)

I used to use tresseme mousse for curls but in skint times I have started using boots own that costs £1 and it works just as well.

can I ask you how you comb through your hair? Because I find combing through it when wet makes all the difference as combing through when dry tends to make mine look frizzy

Try to AVOID products with sulfates because they're specially drying for people with natural curls. My HG product is Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner.... amazing.
