Hey guys and gals.

Do you sometimes feel frustrated or jealous that others can be so perfect?

Havin' a bad day, and wondering how pathetic i am. :p

Sometimes it makes me wonder how someone can be born with it all, looks-wise. Specialy since i got nothing myself, its so unfair.

i am sometimes the same but you have just got to think, they may not think they are perfect themselves, and im sure you are beautiful and there are things about you other people are jealous of :)

I used to be, but you just have to accept that you're the way you are and there's no one else like you in this entire universe. Would you rather be the unique you or look exactly like someone else? :) Its okay to feel down about yourself sometimes, just always get right back up!

All the time.

I could never have the creativity, money, looks or figure to pull off most of the looks I admire.

Yes!! have you seen some of the people on here they're painfully good looking, but you really just have to find the things you like about yourself and focus on those :D I may not be Handsome but i love my hair colour and my straight teeth. I've also grown up in a lovely home and got everything I needed e.g love, food, an education.

There are things more important than beauty, looks fade.

i do get envious sometimes, but mostly it's just for particular body parts. i comfort myself with the thought that they probably have something they dislike about themselves, just like i do. it's part of human nature. the more i get secure and comfortable in my own skin, the envy turns into admiration. a few years ago i would've muttered to myself, "i wish i had her nose/hair/legs/insert body part here," but now i just say to myself, "wow, she's gorgeous," stare and go away happy.

i have a stupid problem with jealousy.
all my friends know it, and have started to ignore me, and i am getting better....
well, at least at containing it.

sometimes it feels like i live in a world where everyone is more beautiful than me, and im just here to make people feel better about themselves :/

Of course! Every single day!
But most people feel that way. Everyone has their insecurities, and are so much more critical of themselves than they are towards other people. Looks are definitely important, there's no doubt about that, but they also cause way too much stress than they're worth. Focus on accentuating your best bits, rather than hiding your worse ones, and try to look on the bright side, sweetie! I'm sure you have so many features that other people love that you're not even aware of!

Yes, I have bad acne at the moment and it's really getting to me. Even before I had acne, I would always be jealous of other people. I have freckles, and I really hated it as a kid because all of my friends had perfect white skin. I also had red/orange hair, and to everyone else, that was ugly. I can even remember a guy once commenting on my red hair, mocking me. That's actually really had a huge affect on how I see guys and myself. I am constantly walking down the street staring at other people with perfect skin and hair wishing that I were different, wishing that my face wasn't so square, or that I had more of a jaw line and a smaller chin. But I guess there always has to be one good thing that you see in yourself. It's sometimes really hard to find it, but it could be something as simple as your eye colour, or the shape of your eyebrows. Once you start seeing the beauty in small sections of your face/body, you may also notice more, until eventually, you learn to love your whole face. I have always believed this, I haven't yet put it to practice though... Anyway, I'll be quiet now...

I think everyone is jealous of other people, just some more than others. Everyone always wants what they don't have. We all have our strengths and our flaws.

For example:
I wish I had clear skin, long straight hair, and minimal body hair. But I do have amazing teeth, eyes that I love, and strong nails.

I also think a lot of people see others as being perfect and they're jealous of their looks but they don't realize that those people have flaws too.

Take celebrities for example.. the media makes them out to look perfect all the time, but they don't.

There's a tumblr called like celebritiescloseup or something and well like the title says it shows pictures of celebrities very close up and you can see that they have pimples, ingrown hairs, and wear tons of makeup.

Hi Erin,

My boyfriend gets quite bad acne on his face and back and found that it really cleared up when we were in Egypt because he was swimming in the sea and being in the sun all day. It's worth trying if you've tried everything else and is a fairly natural remedy so you won't be exposing yourself to lots of chemicals. Obviously I understand that you can't spend all day swimming in the sea and sunbathing (which would be lovely) but I've heard you can get the same results by washing the affected skin in either a salt water solution or a diluted apple cider vinegar and having sessions in a sunbed.

Yeah sometimes I am jealous about how others look. To me my forehead is sensitive point and also my nose I always seem to think that everyone else have such a great forehead and nose. Gosh it frustrates me but I'm getting better with it.

Well, I am sometimes jelaous - clothes, face/body features. For example, I'd love to have green eyes or natural ginger hair or be a little taller. But one thing I've learnt through ages is that I should love myself the way I am 'cause I am unique, so is every person. The best thing you can do is never stop developing - knowledge, appearance, skills, interests, etc.

Jealous? No. I think I'm perfect. I don't mean to sound cocky. I just really like the way I look. I've never used photo shop in any of my looks. But when I do find someone I think is attractive, I just think, wow, she is really beautiful/cute. I'm a sucker for the cute girls. Sometimes I am jealous of their clothes, of course! But that's just a matter of how much money you have.

Jealous? Not particularly, but envious and admiring, sure.

Sometimes I wish I could put together outfits the way people I watch do, or I desire the clothes/hair/whatever on someone else. But in the end I just remind myself if I had that, it wouldn't be me anymore, I'd be copying them! We all have our own strengths and things we like doing with our own style. And definitely goals at the least.
