Fashion is fun! Like Alyssa M. said, it can say things for you. I can influence others' first perception of me. And I think that's a useful power.

I love that I can apply fashion not as function, but as art. As an artist, I like to look at everything as an art form, and my style is definitely one of those things.

aside from an outlet for creative expression blah blah blah, i like how it can alter the way people perceive you. i mean, let's face it, people treat others based on how they look and if you look like you just rolled out of bed you can't expect people to respect you. especially in my profession--you probably won't hire a graphic designer who can't even dress herself properly or doesn't come across as creative. i see fashion as a tool, kind of like propaganda, so that i can project the image i want for myself and create the life i want. also, people treat you better.

Fashion can feel extremely good. Wearing a beautiful fashion piece can make my day as much as other little things in life can do but I feel like I can control it more easily. But I don't think that the answer on the why-question can be given right away... it's complex ;D
Fact is that fashion offers wide opportunities, as many above already said, to express oneself...

The feeling you get from expressing yourself is great. Some people play music, some people make art, others embrace fashion. It's also a fun and exciting thing to be a part of- it's a community of people who understand you and can relate to you, and vice versa.

Fashion is a big part of my life. I love to express myself, but it's also a form of art. it's something that you get to show the world. You get to tell everyone about your masterpiece without even speaking a word. It's about every little detail that you put into the outfit that makes people say "Wow she\has great style". It's your art project that you get to show the world everyday. So basically, fashion let's you have fun and show your creative side which I think is freaking awesome :)

Thats pretty much it for me - I like fashion for being able to express my style. It gives me confidence - especially wearing awesome shoes I can't resist!
I also like DIY though, modifying clothes is awesomely fun.

I like being able to draw everyones attention and evoke tons of emotion out of people and even influence people with out having to say one single word or even having to make a single gesture it's like magic almost

Fashion is my art & has the power to make me whoever I want to be at any moment.
I truly believe that ones clothing is the most honest expression of self. Even if your apparel is not particularly 'you' or you are trying to be somebody else it is ultimately still you & what your choosing to display is still a reflection of self.
