Yeah yeah I know "black goes with everything" but does that cliché apply to brown. There's a lot of yes and no with wearing black and brown together. What are your opinions?

There needs to be an element containing both to work, in my opinion. If you're wearing leopard print, by all means pair brown and black together. But if you're working in solids, I see it as a big no-no. The outfit needs one key element with both colors in it to work properly.
