Ok so there's millions of tutorials out there for studding a pair of shorts, but no one ever talks about whether they patch over the prongs of the studds on the inside of the shorts or not. Personally, I'd want to do this to safeguard from catching/ripping/snagging on anything I'm wearing under the shorts.
What do you guys think? Do you think about this, or are you not bothered?
If you bought a pair of hand studded shorts, would you expect the prongs to be covered on the inside? And if you studded a pair yourself would you take this precaution?

I have both bought and made my own pair of studded shorts and have never had a problem ripping anything underneath. With hallow studs, there should be enough of a recess underneath the stud surface for the prongs to poke into the fabric and then fold up into it so as not to be poking you. :)

you can line the shorts after sewing. just use thin fabric so as not to add bulk.
