Is it good/bad to look older/younger than you actually are? Has someone ever said you looked a different age from what you are? Did it make you smile or were you offended?

I'm 22 and i've always looked younger than I am. Most people seem to think I look 18 at the moment and i'm always getting IDd, not that i'm complaining.

I'm 40 but I look much younger without any surgery.
My secret is eat cat food!!! It's amazing!
It tastes wird at the beginning but we get used quite fast.

I'm 21, but I still look very young.
Mostly it is because I'm short, though sometimes in the summer when I'm just in shorts and a tee I just look like a teenager. I am always ID'd, and have almost been asked to leave liquor stores multiple times because I look underage. :l

I'm 19, almost twenty, but I swear everybody I meet for the first time thinks I'm 16. At the beginning I hated this, because I would prefer to look my age, to look like "a young seductive and fashionable woman" xD Now I understood this will be good for me in the future, when I'll be 40 years old I would gladly look younger!

I just turned 21, and every time I tell people that they say 'really? You don't look 21' - but I've never asked if they mean older or younger. I get asked for ID more than my 16 year old sister, so I assume its younger, but who knows! :S

I'm 20, and most people say I look my age now, but in a mature way, if that makes sense? :o When I was younger, specifically late teens, a lot of people said I could pass for 21. Guess it caught up to me!

i'm 18 but people say that I look like i'm still in middle school -_- and they often say that i look younger than my younger sister. i don't really know to take that as a compliment and shove it in my sister's face or not...

I'm 18 and never get asked for ID when I go out, which is odd because I'm very short and have a baby face. When I had long hair people always thought I was younger than I was, but since I hacked it off (lol) people have said to me that they thought I was older than 18.

I'm 20, but everyone always thinks i'm either 17 or 18.
I don't mind that much, just they always seem so shocked haha.
I think it's more because I don't act any older than them (mostly it's people at work, and they are all 18)

I've just turned 16, i always seem to look about right in pictures, but in real life people often think im at University/College!
However went to the cinema a few months ago and they didn't even let me into a 15 without ID! :( haha

Sometimes it's a good thing because I can go into places without paying, or paying less.
Sometimes it's a very bad thing, because people don't take me seriously unless I'm wearing heels and lipstick.

People always say that I look a lot younger than I am. I'm 18 but people are always saying that I look like I'm 16. Someone told me yesterday that I looked 14 :P but I totally don't haha

When i was younger like 12/13, i defineately looked younger, people thought i was like 11. Mainly because I was a bit of a late bloomer. Now I'm 16 and people think 14-15, and I don't really care at all. Especially because I take ballet with younger people. When I told them I was in yr 10, they were shocked!

I'm 16. People always ask me if where I work or what university I go to, though I've only just started college.
My friends used to think I look the oldest, but my sudden change in clothes has made me look younger apparently.

since i accelerated a year in school, most people believe i'm a year or two older than i really am. however, i look more or less like a 14-year-old.
not compared to LookBook's 14-year-olds, though. in comparison to them, i look like a 24-week-old fetus. not that that's necessarily a bad thing, though.

I've always been told that I look older. When I was 12 someone I know guessed I was 14 and I'm 14 atm and someone thought I was 18. I've never ever been guessed to be younger though.

I'm eighteen (nearly nineteen) and I've been asked if I'm 10 -__- when I first met my boyfriend he thought I was 13/14. It's annoying because I always get stopped for ID when I go out or go to the movies. I think it's because I'm short and have a baby face.

I'm 16 and people have thought that I'm at least in college or older since I was 14 or 15. Now I get a lot of people that think I'm like 21 or so. I don't think it's because of the way I look, when I ask people say it's because of my short hair and that I carried myself like I'm older, so. I don't think it's a bad thing.

I'm 23 but I think I look younger. I have quite a round face.
Saying that, I was 19 when I met my fiance and he thought I was 22. I rarely get asked for ID these days (which is depressing!), especially when I'm with him as he's 30.
My mum is 48 but looks late-30s. Since my 22 year old brother and I have left our family home now, it's only my 12 year old brother left there. Most people my mum meets think he's an only child. They're always shocked to learn she has a 23 year old daughter as she doesn't look old enough at all!
Her mother looks 10 years younger than her actual age too.
I'm holding out for those genes!
